Investigation:

Environment:

NEBOSH Environmental Awareness at Work is an environmental qualification that requires no prior knowledge of the subject, it highlights the meanings of environmental terms, the importance of sustainability and more topics such as dealing with environmental emergencies.

Health & Safety:

Fire:

NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management – is designed for people who have the responsibility to manage fire safety at work.

Construction:

NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety – this qualification is perfect for anyone that needs to identify, control and evaluate a wide range of construction workplace hazards.

Environment:

Health & Well-Being:

NEBOSH National Certificate in the Management of Health and Well-being at Work – This certificate qualification was very popular with HR, worker representatives and managers managing occupational health, however it has been replaced with a new award level qualification, NEBOSH Working with Wellbeing, which focuses on the importance and benefit of effectively managing wellbeing in an occupational setting.

If you’re looking to take your education in Health and Safety further, the NEBOSH National General Certificate is a great qualification to have, especially if you are looking to take a NEBOSH Diploma, or even a Level 5 NVQ.

Diploma:

The NEBOSH National Diploma is an extensive qualification, it’s level 6 in the National Qualification Framework (NQF) which is equivalent to a degree. The diploma is split into 3 units, ND1, ND2 and ND3. To obtain the qualification you need to successfully complete all three units, and as you complete each unit you will know more about important health and safety topics such as hazardous substances and agents, and workplace and work equipment safety.
The NEBOSH National Diploma isn’t your average qualification, it’s designed to meet the needs of the ever-changing modern workplace, and is a route that you can take if you are looking to study a Masters in Occupational Health and Safety.

Further study:

Following successful completion of a NEBOSH National Diploma there are a number of universities that may accept the qualification for entry onto these masters qualifications:

  • MSc in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management
  • MSc in Occupational Health and Safety Management
  • MSc in Environmental Management

Job Roles:

There is a large variety of roles that you can apply for with a NEBOSH health and safety qualification, such as:

  • Health and Safety Advisor
  • Health and Safety Manager
  • Facilities Manager
  • Health and Safety Consultant
  • Compliance Manager

A vast majority of these roles name a form of NEBOSH qualification as one of the preferred requirements for applicants.
