The IOSH Managing Safely course provides a basic understanding of the general health and safety issues that affect all types of organisations and teaches how to manage risks. This course provides the understanding of how to deal with health and safety issues in the workplace, who holds responsibility for aspects of health and safety management.

The course is divided into 7 modules:
Module 1 – Introducing managing safely
Module 2 – Assessing risks
Module 3 – Controlling risks
Module 4 – Understanding your responsibilities
Module 5 – Identifying hazards
Module 6 – Investigating incidents
Module 7 – Measuring performance

An IOSH ‘Managing safely’ certificate is awarded to all those who successfully complete both assessments.
The assessments are a multiple choice question exam that you have 45 minutes to complete, and a practical risk assessment project that is uploaded to the platform.
