CCNSG Leading a Team Safely

Supervisors and team leaders play an important role in ensuring site safety.  They can influence the behaviour of those that they supervise and ensure good planning and communication of health and safety related to site work, helping to ensure workers work on site more safely with lower risk to themselves and others.

Designed for

The CCNSG Leading a Team Safely course is designed for supervisory staff and lone workers who have a responsibility for teams.

Outline

This one day course extends the delegate’s understanding gained by obtaining the CCNSG National Safety Passport for site working. It helps supervisory staff and lone workers who have responsibility for teams, but who may have had little or no training in their H&S responsibilities, or indeed, little training in the essentials of leadership.  The course focuses on the essentials of being a leader and covers essential aspects such as planning, implementing and reviewing, naturally with a health and safety emphasis.

If the delegate does not have a CCNSG National Safety Passport they will have to attend a CCNSG Safety Passport National course first.

Requirements

Delegates must hold a valid CCNSG Safety Passport National passport.  If the delegate does not have a CCNSG National Safety Passport they will have to attend a CCNSG Safety Passport National course first.

All delegates need to bring a form of photographic evidence of their identity and their National Insurance number.  In addition, they will require two current passport sized photographs of themselves (these can be obtained locally at the time of the course if necessary).

Assessment

The assessment of learning is by a multi-choice question paper issued at the end of the day.

Duration: 1 day study
