Display Screen Equipment Assessors

The Display Screen Equipment Regulations require all workstations to be assessed to ensure compliance with the law. This is not only a legal requirement but can also help reduce absence and improve efficiency.

You can study by attending a classroom course, involving face-to-face teaching which can be organised as an in-house course in your premises if you have a number of delegates who require training.

Please contact us for further information on how this course might meet your needs.

Designed for

any organisation which uses VDU’s in the work environment should be represented at this course.  Office and facility managers, personnel managers, health and safety staff.

Outline

The course will provide practical guidance on the assessment of factors which influence risks to users, including layout; the importance of rest periods; the duty to provide training; ophthalmic requirements and the medical effects.  A number of learning methods will be used to enable assessment criteria to be overlaid on practical work situations.  Case studies and discussion of practical aspects arising from the assessments will be a primary feature.  Consideration of practical, cost effective solutions will be integrated with each assessment criteria.
