CITB Health and Safety Awareness Virtual Course

  • CITB

This virtual classroom course is taught online via the video conferencing software Zoom. It provides a summary of common health and safety, welfare and environmental issues and identifies individual responsibilities to health and safety.

This course includes what your responsibilities are to keeping yourself and others safe, fire risk assessments and fire safety, preventing accidents, manual handling, what the employer’s duties are and what should be at work done if anyone’s health is being put at risk.

The course is accredited by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and provides a great overview of the common risks found on a construction site.

Some sites may require a CITB course to have been completed as part of a CSCS Labourer’s Card (Green Card) which will need to be provided as a pre-requisite to entering a site.

Your assessment for this course is completed online at the end of the day. The study book for this course will be sent to you physically for you to use during the course.

Please note that to obtain a CSCS card you will need to have completed your ‘touch screen test’ which is a Health, Safety and Environment test at a Pearson Professional Centre and this CITB approved Health & Safety Awareness course.
