CCNSG Renewal Course

The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal course is designed as a refresher course for those that have already passed the CCNSG Safety Passport National course and enables them to keep their passport up to date.

Designed for

The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal course is designed for existing safety passport holders who need to renew their passport.

Outline

The course provides a refresher on the areas covered in the Safety Passport National course and an update on legislation and safety practices, enabling the passport to be renewed for a further period.  The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal course has to be taken within three months of the National Safety Passport expiry date.  If it is not taken within the specified time after the expiry date then the two day CCNSG Safety Passport National course will have to be retaken.

Aims and Objectives

The aim of the CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal course is to give delegates an up to date and reminder of health and safety law and best practices, covering the changes that have occurred since they sat their initial Safety Passport National or previous Renewal course and to look closely at how behaviour in the workplace affects everyone.

After successful completion of the CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal Course delegates should:

  • Have an understanding of their rights and responsibilities with regards to health and safety.
  • Be aware of the importance of safe behaviour at work
  • Realise the consequences of good and bad behaviour
  • Have an awareness of safe systems, such as confined space entry and permits to work.
  • Have an understanding of solutions at work, including in relation to fire and vibration.
