Course Outline

The NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety is the latest version of the successful NEBOSH Fire Certificate course. This qualification has been updated to reflect the needs of the modern workplace and offers a new revised syllabus, and a newer, more accessible method of assessment.

ACT have been delivering NEBOSH training courses since 1991. Our approach to teaching these courses is focused on providing the highest quality learning materials, as well as expert tutors with relevant experience in both the health and safety field, and as tutors for NEBOSH courses.

We are proud to be a Gold Standard NEBOSH Learning Partner, which means NEBOSH themselves have audited our courses and found them to be of the highest quality possible. We are fully accredited to deliver this qualification in the classroom, online and in-house.

This qualification will help learners to develop their understanding of fire safety, and to apply this understanding to any organisation, across any sector, anywhere in the world. Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Understand the principles of fire and explosion protection and prevention
  • Justify fire safety improvements with regards to moral and financial arguments
  • Advise others on how fires and explosions can occur
  • Carry out effective fire risk assessments in low to medium fire risk workplaces

The course has been based on global best practice for fire safety, and includes an emphasis on the practical applications of fire safety, and fire safety techniques.

This course is delivered in the classroom over 5 days, led by an expert tutor, and is ideal for those that prefer face-to-face training. We have often found that face-to-face training is best suited to those that are new to a subject, or that learn best through open tutor and peer discussions.
