FIRE COURSES

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRFSO) is consolidation of nearly all existing fire safety legislation and places a greater emphasis on organisations taking an active role in management of fire risks.

The New Law:

  • Emphasis preventing fires and reducing risk ( you need to carry out fire assesments and act upon the findings).
  • Makes it your responsibility to ensure the safety of everyone who uses your premises and in the immediate vicinity
(the ownership of fire safety in premises passes from the Fire Service to the 'responsible person' the role of the Fire Service becomes one of enforcement only).
  • Fire Certificates are no longer valid

  • So, if you're an employer and / or building owner or a contractor with a degree of control over any premises - you need to get up-to-date with the requirements of this new law
